The Problem: Time Lost Before Designing
Designers often spend a significant amount of time preparing before they even start designing—writing prompts, gathering inspiration, structuring ideas, and setting up files. This fragmented workflow breaks momentum and delays actual creative output.
Bridging the Gap Between Ideas and Execution
One of the key challenges was translating vague, natural language inputs into structured, usable design outputs. The product needed to feel intelligent yet predictable—ensuring that AI-generated results were relevant, practical, and aligned with real design workflows.
Designing for Different Levels of Designers
Promptly had to cater to both experienced designers and beginners. While professionals needed speed and efficiency, newer designers required guidance and clarity. The challenge was creating an interface that supports both without overwhelming either group.
Creating a Cohesive Multi-Platform Experience
The product was designed across web and mobile, with both light and dark modes. Maintaining consistency in interaction patterns, visual language, and usability across platforms was key to ensuring a seamless experience.
